Jacob Wiebe GENERAL MANAGER | SHELTER POINT
Jacob is Shelter Point’s General Manager and all ‘round Swiss army knife. He joined the operation in 2011 when he was hired to build the new warehouse. He quickly developed a passion for the farm, the distillery and… the owner’s daughter. In fact, Patrick jokes that he came for Emily and stayed for the whisky. Over the years, Jacob has helped in every aspect of the business. You’ll find him driving tractor during harvest, overseeing the 2,000+ precious barrels in the warehouse, managing the sales team and retail environment, kibitzing with customers, coordinating shipments and, on his favourite days, helping Leon perfect the whisky. Jacob thrives on the challenge and variety, comparing his days to a great whisky — complex and no two the same.
